Bikorine Makaba (Rainbow) Born Steve Biko Kimpanga is a Congolese Rumba and Soukous guitarist. He is a key figure and has achieved national fame as a member of the group Wenge Musica Maison Mère. His single-string technique, combined with amplification, helped bring the guitar out of the rhythm section and into the limelight as a solo instrument. For this, he is often credited with developing the lead guitar role in musical ensembles and bands.
